To Cross: Aganakake Tatang Ko (I remember my father in Kapampangan) is a four-part music suite and multimedia live performance that explores the grief of familial/generational loss and celebrates Filipino/a/x mythology and futurism. This is the premiere of composer Josh Icban’s music and the workshop theatrical presentation which features a live band, movement artists, experimental multimedia projections, a lighting score, and memories engaged as living moments.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Josh Icban is a working musician/composer/sound designer/performer and educator from Vallejo. CA. He has worked with luminary Bay Area artists and organizations such as grammy winner Fantastic Negrito, SF Symphony Orchestra, KulArts with Alleluia Panis, and the Awesome Orchestra. Josh also holds an MA in Ethnomusicology, focusing on Filipino/a/x influence on Bay Area music, art, and activism through the years. Learn more: https://www.joshicban.com
