URBAN x INDIGENOUS III: Keep Pushin'

URBAN x INDIGENOUS III: Keep Pushin’ is the third installation of multidisciplinary intergenerational arts festival envisioned by artist Samantha “SAMMAY” Dizon.  This year's production will celebrate the resilience of our ancestors and present-day social justice warriors through the spirit of Hip Hop and will re-awaken those who have fell under the spell of colonization.

Bringing together performances, visual arts, and knowledge ciphers – we will highlight the intersections of our struggles through creative expression while uniting in the common thread of resilience through community and cultural exchange.

Set within the South of Market neighborhood of San Francisco/Ohlone Territory, which continues to experience impermissible change by way of gentrification, the festival is dedicated to reclaiming space and manifesting a glimpse of the future we envision for our future children. Centered on the API-experience but open and extended to all of our brothers and sisters in the trenches, the eight-hour festival invites the movers, shakers, and messengers of our present day to re-awaken those who have fell under the spell of colonization, navigating one’s self back to their roots.
