Hella Pinay has four primary projects:
Hella Pinay Magazine is the leading Filipina/o/x fashion and subculture publication in North America. Our first four print issues feature thought leadership on culturally relevant topics to the LGBTQIA+ Filipinx community and has been recognized by media outlets GMA Pinoy TV, The Filipino Channel and Cool Hunting.
Hella Pinay Radyo is a monthly live-streamed show on Lower Grand Radio hosted by queer Filipinx artists Steph G and Guerrilla Pump. The 2.5-hour show features underground DJ mixes, news, hot topics, and an advice hotline. The show has reached 6th on Mixcloud’s Global Talk Chart, and was selected to be part of San Francisco’s Annual United States of Asian America Festival in 2023.
Hella Pinay produces Filipinx-centered club events in San Francisco, Manila, and New York featuring talent such as Filipina DJ’s Butta B and King Marie; afterparties for Grammy nominated musician Ruby Ibarra and Jocelyn Enriquez; and graffiti muralist Hueman. Event partners include San Miguel and Ube Cream Liqueur.
