About the event

USAAF 2026 Event - ticketing information to come!

an accessible, immersive experience inviting you to find connection & inspiration from historical solidarity between Black & AAPI community

This is an invitation for an invocation.

Our bodies move how they can; they sweat, grind, and whine. Our hearts beat like swift sonar at 130BPM, seeking the connections it craves. Trancestors before us and our Queerly Departed fill us with their spirit of resistance. This Pride season, let us be the soundtrack for your joy, your desire, your righteous rage, and your ultimate release.

No matter how you move, or who you move with, let that beat in your chest meld with the pounding beats and visual treats of RHYTHMS OF RESISTANCE, an immersive dance party and artistic journey delving into the radical underground roots of queer art/nightlife as integral to Black, Asian, and Pacific Islander solidarity. Presented by the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center as part of the 2026 United States of Asian America Festival:

Prepare your whole body and spirit to dance, and be swept away by original soundscapes by four queer Black/AAPI/Trans DJs:

EUPHEMIA B2B Lil Bebe Cyborg

Ka'lonji Moschino

GHOSTMiLK

Flowing through the pulsing beats and ethereal video installations, the evening will also feature:

Drag by Mojo Carter

Shibari suspension by PrinceX Cakes and Piss E Sissy

Kulintang (live music) by Titania Buchholdt and kameya

With disabled and chronically ill artists on the lineup and production team, accessibility will be at the forefront. Disabled queers deserve to feel free on the dancefloor!
