"ISLAND BOUND, a short experimental film by San Francisco artist Sami See, explores resilience through choreography, island landscapes, and ritual movement. The meditative dance film investigates how femme bodies and islands respond to the relational and ecological change.
The premiere features a live performance of the film score by NPR Tiny Desk-featured Filipina instrumental band Pinay Voltron, along with guest performances by pole and shibari artist Mistress Joyen and other collaborators.
Together, film, music, and installation offer an immersive reflection on adaptation, intimacy, and the choreography of survival in uncertain times.
