Bringing Them Home: Workshops with Jon Jang

Featuring Erika Oba, Joyce Nakamura Jon Jang and guests will give talks and presentations regarding his new work "Bringing them Home" drums) to celebrate the contributions by the lssei (first generation Japanese immigrants) and the Nisei (second generation Japanese Americans) in Monterey during the early half of the twentieth century. These online presentations will include discussions on the history of Japanese Americans in the United States and in particular Monterey. Jang will also present: Leading Tones: Becoming a Changemaker; that will include his discussion of his work, Reparations Now!
