About the event

USAAF 2026 - Free event

As One is a powerful collection of original performances centering Queer and Transgender Asian and Pacific Islander (QTAPI) voices. Through solo performance and spoken word, artists share deeply personal and collective stories that explore what it means to find, build, and sustain community.

These works reflect the many ways community is lived and practiced—through moments of connection, acts of care, and the resilience that emerges when we show up for one another. From stories of belonging and chosen family to navigating identity, loss, joy, and resistance, each piece offers a window into the layered experiences of QTAPI lives.

Grounded in lived experience, As One invites audiences to witness the strength and tenderness that shape our communities. It is both a celebration and a call to remember that care is an action, and resilience is something we cultivate together.

Presented as part of QTAPI Week 2026 and the United States of Asian American Festival, produced by the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center, this program uplifts emerging and established artists whose work speaks to the urgency and beauty of collective care.

In a time when connection is essential, As One reminds us that we are strongest when we come together.
