At its heart, “As One” is a gathering of voices, movements, and songs that flow together to create a shared story. GAPA Theatre will anchor the program with personal narratives and spoken word pieces from a multi-generational cohort of QTAPI writers. These stories—reflections on finding belonging, building confidence, and celebrating our culture—will be interwoven with GAPA Men’s Chorus, which will perform a multilingual repertoire of songs, and with GAPA Dance, which will present works across styles that embody resilience, struggle, and joy. The presence of GAPA Runway, GAPA’s iconic platform for culture, performance, and QTAPI identity, will be acknowledged through narratives that highlight how it too has served as a space for visibility and pride. Together, these cultural arms create a living mosaic of QTAPI community life, one where storytelling, song, and movement are inseparable.
