YELLO, YOU THERE? : Open Mic Tribute to Angelo Pamintuan

Yello, You There? is our loving tribute to Angelo Pamintuan, APICC’s former programs assistant, whose life was tragically cut short last October 4, 2023. Only 32 years old, he was a talented and passionate poet, illustrator, graphic designer, martial artist, and a cherished partner, son, and father.

EVENT PROGRAM

Featured artists will include Poems by Genny Lim and Rupert Estanislao, Musical Performances by Dame Drummer and Rachel Lastimosa, and Dance and community altar ritual by Terry Lily Hwang.

DJ Romii will be spinning house music and downtempo to keep the energy flowing and Sami See will host.

USAAF 2024 FESTIVAL MIXER

This event event is a mixer in anticipation of the 27th Annual United States of Asian America Festival, which Angelo was working on shortly before he passed away.

We will have a table for prospective artist applicants seeking to get answers to their questions about the application and selection processes. Light refreshments will be provided.

We welcome all those who are interested to sign up for the open mic (poetry, spoken word, stand-up comedy, music, dance, etc.) portion of the event! Those who identify as Asian American and/or Pacific Islander men, or men of color, are especially encouraged to participate.
