Urban x Indigenous 2021: Between Worlds - a SAMMAY Production - is an intercultural arts festival taking place May 7-15, 2021. This community-centered exchange explores the liminal space between our worlds: past and present, physical and digital, material and spiritual. How do we ensure our social movements are not just inclusive but also fluid? How do we heal through collective grief through traditional, contemporary, and holistic practices? How do we restructure old systems and re-imagine new futures? Artists, scholars, organizers, and community members will engage with these ideas through performances, dialogues, and workshops designed to inspire coalition building, collective healing, and re-indigenization.
