UxI 2020: Urban-Indigenous Futurism is a multi-disciplinary art festival featuring visual art, installations, performances, and dialogues that explore the ways Indigenous knowledge and ancestral traditions can help us develop an inclusive vision of the future. The work shared will meditate on the act of re-imagining our relationship with Mother Nature and with each other. How do we heal the trauma that shackles our planet's future and our people? How do we transmute the forces that prevent us from unifying in pursuit of collective freedom? The event will explore themes of eco-sustainability, sovereignty, and collective liberation.
