USAAF 2021 at Kapwa Gardens

The Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center is proud to present a series of outdoor performances at Kapwa Gardens in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood as part of the 24th annual United States of Asian America Festival.

ASL interpretation will be available during the main part of the showcase from 3-6PM. While Kapwa Gardens is not yet fully ADA accessible, the pathway and space where the program will take place can accommodate those who may have accessibility needs. Scroll down for more accessibility info.

The Sarap Shop is a local, family-owned food brand serving a playful take on Filipino comfort food that integrates our experience growing up as first-gen Bay Area kids.

The Sarap Shop is only accepting pre-orders for food at this time and will not handle any additional sales on-site. Pre-order here by Wednesday, June 2, 2021!

 

EVENT & REGISTRATION INFO

This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is available for up to 50 attendees for the whole showcase. For contact tracing, please enter the details (name, phone number and email address) of each attendee in your party.

Doors open 30 minutes before the showcase begins at 2:30PM.

Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to reserve your spot. If you do not check-in at least 30 minutes in advance, your spot could be given away to someone on the waitlist.

Walk-ups are welcome to sign onto the waitlist and attend the showcase depending on event capacity at the moment of entry. The waitlist will be available for sign-ups starting ONE (1) hour in advance of each showcase.

Wristbands will be provided if you intend on going in and out of the event space at any time.

There will be no registration accepted past the max capacity of the venue to ensure our community’s safety in the era of COVID-19. All registered participants will receive a preparation email at least 24 hours before the event.

Please try to maintain a 6' distance with all other patrons who are not a part of your socially distanced group. We ask that we all take care of each other and wear masks at all times.

If you are feeling unwell or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 we respectfully ask that you remain home.

ACCESSIBILITY & CONSENT

ASL interpretation will be available at this event up to 6pm, at which point, the event will break off into the food, mingling and karaoke portion of the night. While Kapwa Gardens is not yet fully ADA accessible, the pathway and space where the program will take place can accommodate those who may have accessibility needs.
