Filipino American puppeteer Ramon Abad is directing a live, indoor stage show specifically designed for families and kids 5 years old and older called “Pickles! The Bindlestiff Kid Show”. Presented by the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center (APICC) as part of the 25th annual United States of Asian America Festival (USAAF) this will be the first kids' show at Bindlestiff Studio that will be performed entirely with puppets!
Ramon has commissioned three young kids to write original stories that a cast of Bindlestiff artists and puppeteers will bring to life. The playwrights are the children of past Bindlestiff artists and have shown a natural talent for storytelling! This show hopes to engage Bay Area children with the diverse culture and history that Bindlestiff offers and to encourage a new generation of theater artists
