INVOCATION: A FRISCOPINX CYPHER honors the experience of loss as gentrification displaces its people and shifts San Francisco culture. Through spoken word and music, FRISCOPINX Artists will be calling on the warm embrace and the mighty heart of their beloved city in order to collectively process grief and heal. The summoning of this found breath will be featured as ritual during the opening of New MestizX, a visual art exhibition on May 24, 2019 at Acción Latina’s Juan R. Fuentes Gallery.
