FriscopinX Chronicles, is a music showcase presented in collaboration between Artist Mister REY and APICC. The showcase offers an hour-plus audio-visual experience, and storytelling of FriscopinX artists curated by Mister REY. This is a snapshot of an Oeuvre that Rey is presently working on as an adaptive project. Featured artists include: ET IV, ROCKY G, BILLY LO and ROCK EAZY

ABOUT THE CURATOR
Reynaldo T. Novicio Jr. also known as Mister REY is a FRISCOPINX artist, music producer, father, community & cultural worker and mental health advocate. Born in Makati City, Philippines, he immigrated to the US when he was 12 years old and moved into the Mission District of San Francisco. As an urban immigrant youth, he adopted a Hip Hop identity that has become the impetus for his activism, and a framework for community. He has collaborated with fellow local heavyweight artists and community workers, including Denizen Kane, Nomi of Power Struggle, RO3LAY and Ruby Ibarra.
Reynaldo T. Novicio Jr. dedicates his time coordinating cultural events in the Filipino community. In the last 3 years, he has been part of the Barrio Fiesta organizing committee as a Program and Stage Manager. Barrio Fiesta is an event that started in the South of Market more than 2 decades ago. After years of hiatus, a couple of SoMa organizations comes together to revive this tradition to celebrate our community's growth and raise awareness of the issues affecting members of our community. Barrio Fiesta is a free event that garners over 400 attendees every year since its reintroduction. In addition, Rey is experienced in organizing Open Mics. As a member of SPOKES Youth Speaks’ youth board, he has helped produce Final Fridays, an under-21 monthly Open Mic. The experience has allowed him to continue and guide other youth to produce Open Mic in the SoMa and Filipino Community.
In 2019, Rey was a part of APICC FESTIVAL as a Focus Artist where he launched and introduced FRISCOPINX CYPHER. FRISCOPINXCYPHER is a jam session that celebrates the lost and found memories within the ever-changing San Francisco landscape, of Filipinx-American experience through streams of spoken word, rhythm and movement. He continued to honor FRISCOPINXCYPHERat the 2019 UNDSCVRD Markets and Festivals during his time as a Music Curator.
