17th annual International Queer Women of Color Film Festival

The 17th anniversary Festival Focus "Molten Connections" will premiere 20 films in 3 screenings, and forge new relationships, awaken steadfast bonds of diaspora, and spark a metamorphosis of love that withstands time. From Chumash ancestors who mapped the stars, to two older queer women unearthing a geode of love, to an undocumented Mexican grandmother creating mutual aid networks during the pandemic, these films resonate across generations and lay the cornerstone for change. All films are Subtitled for the Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing, and ASL Interpretation and CART/live open captions will be provided for live, interactive filmmaker Q&As.

ABOUT THE QUEER WOMEN OF COLOR MEDIA ARTS PROJECT

QWOCMAP creates, exhibits, and distributes high-impact films that authentically reflect the lives of queer women of color (cisgender & transgender), and gender variant and transgender people of color (of any orientation), and challenge the roots of vital, intersecting social justice issues that concern our multiple communities.
