Until Unity is Woven (J.Theo)

Until Unity is Woven is a poem written and performed by J.Theo, which will be the centerpiece of this event. The piece will be tailored by music, dance and poetry from a well-curated cast of artists who will relate their work to this theme: "how can the people of the world find their common threads and truly weave together a fabric of unity?" There will also be a presentation or panel featuring laborers, workers and organizers from our local Bay Area community.

An exhibit of visual art will display illustrations inspired by the poem Until Unity is Woven; it will also display pieces honoring the power and value of the workers and peasants. In this event, we will present a rich dialogue of how people have historically collaborated through art and political action to confront forces of oppression and tyranny.
