An exhibit of the work of San Francisco native artist Win Ng, ceramicist, craftsman and proprietor of the Taylor & Ng galleries and retail stores. Ng, working in the post WWII period, turned the perception of the mass market towards handcrafted items, thus paving the way for designers and retailers to follow. Exploring form, utility and color, Ng's work made no distinction between the duality of "craft" and "fine art". The exhibit features his ceramics, early enamels and a small selection of his paintings. Curated by Allen Hicks and supported by a grant from the Win Ng Trust and Grants for the Arts.
