</3 is a curation of individual and collaborative works that examine the unspoken process of heartaches in relationship to our lovers, families, work, home, neighborhoods and ancestral stories of colonial trauma. This exhibition explores the intersections of a </3: how the text emoticon is part of an alternative language production that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries, how it builds space via visual technology to assuage the heartbreak of transnational existence, and how its inarticulable affective connotations relate to resistance, healing and regenerative practices.
